Wake Monarch Academy held a ribbon cutting ceremony June 30 to celebrate its upcoming August opening for the 2021–22 school year. The first recovery school in the Triangle, Wake Monarch Academy is a nonprofit, private school with a mission to provide academic, personal and professional support to teens in grades 9–12 with substance use disorders. It will operate on a modified year-round calendar with online and direct instruction.
